Papatango

Day 11, 26th September

Script Writing.

Today we had a visitor from Papatango the theatre company (Karis) with her we were given sheets to fill out about our character names, age, 3 things to describe their personality, 3 things they like about the other characters and 3 things they don't like about the other characters and we had to write a script/story line.It was important for us to use these sheets as these sheets helped us develop our characters and give them identities by doing this helps us to create our story line. The development of the characters helps us to create the story line because Raiko wanted to be successful so this helped us make his character determined in whatever he's doing for example in the play his aim is to survive, so he is determined to kill all the zombies to make sure he makes it out alive this is why Raiko survives at the end of the play. These story's will be given to a group of actors and they will learn our scripts then they will perform them to us, my characters name was Raiko and the others were Nevaeh, Larriss and Andrea, our setting is based in America and the story line is that there is a zombie apocalypse, the characters all get a radio call from Andrea to meet at a restaurant they all meet there and these characters are the last survivors, every month there is a flight out of the city but it costs a lot money, Andrea finds out that Raiko has a lot of money and try's to take it from him, Larriss finds out her plan and ends up killing Andrea, Raiko and Nevaeh find Larriss and Larriss pretends she was getting the money back from Andrea but really she wanted to use it to get out of the city. The other characters are important because they help to build tension in the play as Raiko is the protagonist.
